Affiliate Disclosure
Plain English: how we make money, and why it doesn't change what we recommend.
What affiliate links are
An affiliate link is a product link that pays the publishing site a small percentage of the sale when a reader buys through it. The reader pays exactly the same price; the commission comes out of the seller's margin, not your pocket.
Programs we participate in
None yet. Several laser and CNC makers run affiliate programs, as do large retailers. Before MakerWise joins any of them, this page will name the program, and any page that carries such links will say so near the top.
How it affects our recommendations
It doesn't. Our picks come from comparing published specifications, manufacturer settings libraries, owner-forum consensus and checked prices against what the job actually needs: the materials you work with, the size of your projects, the software a machine locks you into, and the safety equipment it requires. We do not claim hands-on testing we have not done. If the best option in a category has no affiliate program, we still recommend it, and if a product we could earn on is a poor fit, we say so.
Prices and availability
Prices, bundles and availability change often and are set by the seller, not by us. Every price we quote is a US price stamped with the month we checked it. Regional stores (EU, UK, Brazil, the Middle East) price differently, so confirm the current price and specs on the seller's page before buying.
Questions
If anything here is unclear, or you believe a recommendation is influenced by a commission, tell us, we take editorial independence seriously. See our About & methodology page for how we research and choose.
